Functions

Digital ruler with a motorized stop

• Management of 10 memories: Allows to register up to ten (10) keyboard input values (or parts dimensions measured automatically by the ruler) for future use. Nine (9) memories are offered in addition to the current measurement.

• Changing the measurement units: Allows changing the units of measurement. More than 12 units of measurement in metric and imperial are available with their displays, their precision and their specific masks.

• Measuring an existing workpiece: Acts as a vernier, to measure in a few steps the length of a piece previously cut. This measurement can be stored for later use.

• Cut in relative measure: Allows to move the stop from its current location. When the relative mode is enabled, the current position becomes the new "ZERO" and displacement can be requested from the keyboard in relation with it. An example of this function  is the addition of a length of an existing part.

• Parameters edition: Provides access to various parameters of the ruler and change values within set ranges, depending on the level of safety. A list of these parameters is available in the user's guide.

• Trim: Allows to position the stop very closely to the blade to perform a starting or squaring  cut on a raw material. After cutting, the stop returns to its initial position by pressing the "OK" button.

• Changing side of the cut: Add or remove the thickness of the blade at the displayed measure. An arrow (<or>) on the screen will indicate which side of the blade the measurement is taken. Refer to owner's manual for the usefulness of this function.

• Manual displacement: Allows to directly move the stop using the arrows on the keyboard. This function is mainly to clear the stop.

• Setting to zero: Allows the setting to zero basic or with a marker when the stop cannot or does not have to go to the blade. This function also includes the fine adjustment that can correct lateral movement of the blade while setting to zero basic, keeping the accuracy of the ruler.

• Angles Compensation (optional): Corrects the measurement depending on cutting angles of the saw and that compensation is automatically applied to the stop. This function is optional on all models EXACTLENGTH PRO.

• Addition of an extension (optional): Must be used when an extension is added to the ruler to increase the measuring capability of the latter. For example, 8-feet ruler may, with a 4-feet extension, cut lengths from 0 to 12 feet. The function allows to control the extension.
